About Us

We are a design firm created by entertainment publicist Lys Wilcox. We specialize in personalized handmade greeting cards, stationery, and invitations – producing modern multicultural alternatives to off-the-shelf products. Lys began creating these specialized greetings for close friends and relatives as a creative outlet to balance her fast paced publicity business, not to mention the demands of being a wife and mother and raising her then 19 month old son.

She decided to start her own company, naming it Dot’s Daughter Designs, in honor of her mother Dorothy Archie. Our products appeal to a sophisticated and diverse clientele, such as: corporations searching for high quality and glitz for their holiday invitations; urban community professionals wanting to add just a little extra kick to their personalized “Thank You” notes to their customers; organizations seeking to capture the eye of a potential benefactor; even individuals looking for something reflective of their lives and experiences.

Dot’s daughter creates 3-D designs that utilize photographs, paint, decoupage, graphics, beading, fabric, and other artistic mediums to produce art with an emphasis on the ever evolving urban culture.
